Shaking My Fist at Microsoft!

I'm struggling with Access 2007.

I do not normally struggle with program upgrades, but this one is too pretty. Pretty systems don't work...it isn't possible.

Is it?

This is frustrating me...I really just want to get my work done.

I'm sure I'll learn to love it and be thankful that it was upgraded...but for now I'm not having any fun. I just want my ugly old Access back. I'm sure this version is easier to use and makes things faster...

Talk about not being able to get over it huh?

Did they provide any online, brown bag or web user training before transitioning you guys over to 2007?
My guess is no... because no matter how much lip service corporations have been giving IT training, once you look at the operational/practical "complaince" with those lofty goals - it just "ain't happening.."
But then, maybe you'll surprise me! LOL Yes? No?
You can always put yourself to sleep with the manual... How do you like 2007? I havent played with it yet much...
Picked up "A Return to Love" yet? Its a weekend chew-through, if it grans you in the first couple chapters. If it doesnt, then don't bother with the rest of it - the feel of it doesnt change must from the introduction. If you need to hear it - its perfect... if you don't? You won't start to just because its there... lol
Another good one.. "the invitation" - small book.. the intro is the best, though. Could probably spend 10 minutes at the bookstore and get the appreciation at that one and leave feeling ideological and hopeful.. :)

Wow.. that's a great deal of verbage for me leaving a comment! This is your blog, though.. Sorry!! :)

They did offer a brown bag actually; they upgraded my computer before it was scheduled because of some issues I was having, so I was left to my own devises for about a week. I normally pick these things up quickly; I was just having a particularly tough day. Lol; after writing that post I spent about five minutes in Access and found exactly what I was looking for.

2007 is okay, it’s just prettier. I don’t know if anything other than Outlook makes life easier. I like the new features of Outlook, like being able to see my task list and calendar while viewing my email.

I have no plans this weekend because of some Softball games, so I was planning on going by the bookstore then. I will look for both books, thanks for the suggestion!
